Christian de Duve received the "Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology" in 1974, and in that same year he founded the International Institute of Cellular and Molecular Pathology (ICP), later renamed "de Duve Institute".

Administrative Organization

The de Duve Institute is an autonomous association administered by a board that includes representatives of the UCLouvain. The de Duve Institute is governed by a directorate formed of four scientists of the Institute. An international scientific council of four members oversees the quality of investigations and of recruitment.
